Sustainable Systems for the Future
Alpha Farms operates a robust and well-structured aquaculture network comprising BAP-certified and ASC-certified farms, ensuring consistent supply, traceability, and operational flexibility. All farm sites are located in environmentally suitable areas and operate responsibly within the country’s local government framework to produce shrimp to rigorous standards while conserving ecologically sensitive habitats. The total water spread area across operations is 290 hectares, with farms specializing in the cultivation of high-quality Vannamei (Litopenaeus vannamei) and Black Tiger (Penaeus monodon) shrimp.
Alpha Marine has commissioned a team of competent and qualified environmental scientists, biologists, ecologists, and technologists to assess farm sites through B-EIA and P-SIA studies in compliance with local regulations. The findings and outcomes are openly communicated in local languages, reinforcing transparency, regulatory alignment, and responsible aquaculture practices.

with a substantial area of 57 hectares, further strengthening certified production capacity.

Precision Farming with Quality Inputs
The farm sites are enrolled by the MPEDA under the ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Central Government of India to cultivate shrimps. Farms have established adequate bio-security measures including fencing, reservoirs, bird scare, separate implements for each of the ponds etc. The farms have been managed by the personnel who are trained and / or experienced in management of bio-security measures.
Quality Inputs
We prioritize quality at every stage:
- High-quality seeds: Produced at our own Alpha Hatchery, ensuring disease-free shrimp post-larvae. These farm sites are stocked with seeds produced from SPF (Specific Pathogen Free) shrimp stocks that are free of specific diseases.
- Premium feed: Supplied leading manufacturers of aquafeed, ensuring optimal nutrition for our shrimps.
Water Management
- Water treatment and recycling systems are essential for maintaining optimal operational and environmental conditions and include effective filtration, disinfection, and water recycling processes.
- Continuous water quality monitoring and testing are conducted to ensure key parameters - such as salinity, pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, transparency, alkalinity, and nitrogen compounds including nitrate (NO₃), nitrite (NO₂), and ammonia - remain within acceptable ranges.
- Proper effluent treatment and disposal practices are implemented to minimize environmental impact and ensure compliance with regulatory and sustainability standards.
Disease Management
- Disease management includes regular health monitoring and surveillance through routine inspections, sampling, and diagnostic testing to ensure early detection of potential health issues.
- Effective biosecurity measures are implemented through controlled access, thorough disinfection of equipment, and strict personnel hygiene protocols to minimize the risk of disease introduction and spread.
Quality Control
Regular testing and analysis of products are conducted to ensure consistent quality, safety, and performance throughout the production process.
Quality assurance and certification procedures are implemented in accordance with recognized certification schemes such as the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) and Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP).
In addition, all operations comply with applicable international standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring product integrity, market acceptance, and adherence to global best practices.
Export Processing Plants
Processing units equipped for handling, freezing, and value-added production of shrimp. All plants follow international food safety and hygiene standards to ensure quality across every stage of export.
