2004
Alpha Group Founded (Hatchery Operations)
Four aquaculture professionals began the journey into the world of aquaculture establishing a CAA-approved hatchery, Alpha Hatchery at Koruturu, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh for Penaeus monodon (Tiger prawn) and cultivating a strong, trusting relationship with local aqua farmers.
2009 - 2010
CAA-Approved Shift to L. vannamei
Shifted from P. monodon to Litopenaeus vannamei and got CAA approval for that.
2012 - 2013
Expansion & National Recognition
Established a second hatchery unit adjacent to the first to meet growing demand for high-quality seed. Recognised by MPEDA with the Award for Excellence as India’s Best L. vannamei Hatchery, and SaFari certified for producing antibiotic-free seed—earning strong trust among farmers.
2014
First Processing Plant Commissioned
Forayed into the seafood export market by establishing the Alpha Marine Processing Plant at Gandavaram, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. This marked the commissioning of the first processing plant.
2016 - 2017
Certified for Global Exports
Received approval from EIC and first container exported, received Green ticket enabling export to USA. BRC & BAP certified.
2020 - 2021
Alpha Farms & Contract Farming Expansion
To ensure responsible farming practices, sustainable sourcing and to strengthen backward integration and traceability, Alpha Farms was launched with contracted shrimp farms certified under BAP and ASC standards. Acquired a third hatchery (unit 3) to cater good quality seed to our own farms and to our farming community.
2022
Second Processing Facility Established
Specializes in a comprehensive portfolio of cooked, nobashi, breaded, battered, and value-added shrimp products along with raw frozen shrimps. These items are developed for export, retail and foodservice sectors, and are characterized by a commitment to consistent quality and rigorous food safety standards.
2024 - 2025
Compliance Excellence for Global Markets
Alpha strengthened its vertical integration by launching its own shrimp farming operations across 114.3 hectares, ensuring greater control over biosecurity, sustainability, quality consistency, and complete farm-to-fork traceability. This was complemented by the launch of Shrimpop, a premium seafood brand tailored for the Indian market, bringing responsibly sourced, high-quality seafood directly to consumers.

Fully Integrated Global Seafood Company
Today, Alpha Group operates as a fully integrated aquaculture and seafood export company, covering hatchery, farming, processing, value addition, and global exports. With strong certifications, advanced technology, and buyer-focused operations, Alpha reliably supplies premium shrimp products to international markets.
